Will's Eyes...
...are officially straight. Hoorah! I've been chasing a referral to the eye clinic at Newbury Hospital for 2 months, but haven't had to anything through. So eventually I called again today to just make absolutely sure the referral hadn't come through, and they said no again and told me to nag the GP. I called Falkland and they said they'd look into it - then rang back an hour later to say that we had an appointment and it was at 1.20pm today!
As ever I downed tools and galloped off to get Will and after various tests the lady we saw said not to worry, because he has a very wide bridge to his nose it can look like his eyes aren't quite straight but when he gets older and his face starts to change, they will be straight.
She also said that given the fact he's now 14 months, it is highly unlikely that he would develop a squint now either. We are so relieved. Now we have a check up in the diary on 9th January next year for Will and Baby Number 2 to get them both given the once over.
Am now sitting at the kitchen table in the sunshine, enjoying this unexpected afternoon of home working, while Will and Bunny snooze upstairs. It's amazing how a bit of sun and a bit of warmth can make the World seem a much brigher place.
