Early Starts

I'll try really hard not to turn this into a blog where I spend every post whinging about how tired I am, but after a 5.30am start this morning to get into work and send out the KPI stuff, I am ready to collapse. Same again tomorrow alas as am off to Istanbul to manage the Talkabout event with Arun. To say I am dreading it would be an understatement. My first night away from Will and Eddie. Must focus on the lovely food they're promising me and hopefully it'll go quickly and smoothly. On the positve side I am cadging a lift home on the Jet - with instructions to pick up a curry on the way home! Have a booking in appointment sorted for 21 February - bring on the skulduggery.

Exhaustion sets in

God I am so tired. Working full time and looking after Will is pretty relentless, we're up at 6.00 every morning gettting ready, then it's off to nursery followed by a full day at the office. I escape to collect Will between 4 and 5 depending on when I've got in that morning and then it's home to feed Molly, play with Will and then wrestle him into the bath and bed for 7pm. I usually manage to grab 10 minutes rest in front of Hollyoaks (mindless - just what I need) before lurching back into the kitchen to forage for supper. Would love to tell Jo and Debs my news, but am far too superstitious! Trying to remember what the hell I need to do about the doctor, I'll try to call soon when I get a minute and get an appointment. In the meantime am worrying myself over iminent trip to Turkey, Mother and her worsening condition and Will's upcoming MMR vaccination, which he has to have at Basingstoke hospital because of his egg allergy. Phew. Of course staying up unti...

Once more into the breach Dear Friends...

Eddie and I have talked about trying for a brother or sister for Will a great deal in the last few months. There is never going to be a good time to embark upon procreation, so we felt that biting the bullet after Will had turned one was as good a time as any. We had no idea it'd work first time! Have felt very very tired recently, and after getting down to my lightest weight in 10 years (8 stone), I suddenly started to get the munchies. Hmmmm...I couldn't be sure whether it was just tiredness and the drudgery of corporate life, or Baby Number 2 making an appearance. Eventually, after a G&T in the bath I decided I couldn't live in denial a day longer and Will and I headed to Tescos to invest in a test. Isn't it amazing that a tiny symbol, +, can change your life completely. Part of me couldn't believe it, but part of me, my heart of hearts, knew. Eddie and I are thrilled, but very nervous. There is a long way to go and we won't be able to relax until w...

WEEK 5

I actually have no idea about exact timings this time round, not having paid any attention to biological schedules and what not, but we think it's about 5 weeks in. If we're right, it means we will have a brother or sister for Will in late September (give or take).
